Rotary’s strength lies in its unity—and in moments of change, that unity shines brighter than ever.
In a demonstration of steadfast leadership and global solidarity, Rotary International has announced Francesco Arezzo, of the Rotary Club of Ragusa, Italy, as the incoming President for the 2025–26 Rotary year.
This announcement follows the unexpected resignation of Mário César Martins de Camargo, a moment of transition met with clarity and resolve by the Rotary International Board. In full accordance with Rotary’s bylaws and values, the Board acted swiftly to ensure continuity in leadership, reinforcing our shared mission to serve humanity.
Francesco Arezzo brings with him more than 30 years of unwavering dedication to Rotary and is a proud Benefactor of The Rotary Foundation. His deep-rooted commitment to service, peace, and community development makes him a truly remarkable leader to guide Rotary into the future.
“Rotary is more than any one individual—it is a global movement, deeply rooted in fellowship and service,” said Stephanie A. Urchick, 2024–25 Rotary International President. “Now is the time to Unite for Good under Francesco’s leadership, and together we will propel Rotary into a future defined by hope, action, and community.”
At a time when the world continues to evolve through change and challenge, Francesco’s leadership symbolizes stability, vision, and purpose. His nomination is not only a mark of his personal excellence but a reflection of the strength of Rotary as a worldwide organization — adaptable, resilient, and deeply committed to the common good.
As we look ahead to the 2025–26 Rotary year, we invite all members and partners to renew their commitment to service and rally behind the theme "Unite for Good", a call to collective action that transcends borders and unites hearts in purposeful change.
We congratulate Francesco Arezzo and stand ready — as one Rotary — to shape a more compassionate and equitable world.
